Business office director: We would like to interview candidates that have heavy experience in business office operations, including billing, collecting, charge entry, personnel, Medicare requirements, coding issues, in a medium to large sized group practice. It would be helpful if the person had managed care experience as well. As you know, we are not heavily engaged in managed care, certainly not HMOs or capitation, but we have begun to participate with BC/BS, Humana, and are looking at some of the other major players in the Houston market.

 Over the last 40 years this group has had three administrators.  The skills needed include strong financial background including ability to do spreadsheets, Excel, prepare financial reports etc. plus good interpersonal skills.  Experience in a group practice setting is a key.  This group is in excellent financial shape and draws patients from 8 counties.  Medicare 24%, Medicaid 9 %, balance in PPO's etc.  No large employers so no one dominates the market. 

Salary range $60-80.  Benefits are complete.
