Paul Albano, P.D.
SVP of Pharmacy Operations

PharmaPoint

Paul is a proven management and healthcare professional whose career covers more than three decades of experience in both start-up and operational management situations. Paul is responsible for hiring and managing the pharmacy staff in each of our pharmacies, as well as the procedures and processes followed within those pharmacies.

As a registered pharmacist, Paul is experienced in starting and managing new businesses, improving business operations and processes, and designing and implementing restructuring processes on a nationwide level.

Prior to PharmaPoint, Paul served as the regional director of the United States Central/Southeast regions with U.S. Oncology. He led the operational implementation and direct management of the new Oncology Pharmaceutical Services program within U.S. Oncology’s largest region, while exceeding the budgeted EBITDA forecast for each year.

Paul, along with his brother, also built and managed their own independent pharmacies, aptly named Albano’s Pharmacy, with seven locations across central Alabama.

Other positions and accomplishments include being the first civilian to become the chief executive officer/executive director of Civil Air Patrol, whose national headquarters is located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. As CEO, Paul helped design and implement a restructuring of the national headquarters from an active duty Air Force leadership facility to that of a civilian led corporate format.

Paul serves on the Board of Directors and as treasurer for the Northwest Alabama Treatment Center, a substance abuse, detox and rehabilitation clinic located in Bessemer, Alabama. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Samford University and holds Board Certifications in both Alabama and Arkansas.
